Draft for legal review. Last edited 2 September 2026. This is a template written for an EU online pet supplies shop. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the details in [square brackets] still have to be filled in. It must be reviewed by the client’s legal counsel before the shop takes an order.

A cookie is a small file this site asks your browser to keep, so that the next page knows something the last one did — that you are signed in, what is in your basket, or that you have already answered this notice.

Cookies that are strictly necessary to give you what you asked for do not need your permission. Everything else does, and we ask before setting it rather than after. Nothing non-essential is set until you say yes, and “no” is as easy to click as “yes”.

What is set today

Every cookie below is set by Furland itself. There are no third-party cookies, no advertising cookies and no analytics running on this shop at the moment.

A basket cookie joins this table when checkout is built. It is strictly necessary — a basket you cannot keep is not a basket — so it will not need your consent, but it will be listed here before it ships.

Analytics

We would like to count which pages get used, so we know what to fix. No analytics tool is installed yet, and the switch in the banner is off until you turn it on. When one is added it will appear in the table above with its provider, its purpose and its retention, and it will still not load for anyone who has not consented.

Changing your mind

Withdrawing consent has to be as easy as giving it, so here is the same panel you saw the first time:

You can also clear cookies for this site in your browser settings, which wipes the record of your choice — the banner will then ask again. Blocking essential cookies entirely will stop the basket and sign-in from working.

How long your choice lasts

Six months, then we ask again. We also ask again if we change what the categories cover, because an answer given about a shorter list is not an answer about a longer one.
